I have occasionally had the honour to be awarded for my work, to be featured in a publication or to have one of my pictures included in an exhibition.

Competition wins

May 2019 - Photographic Hot Spots - Top Photographer
My four pictures, from Norway, Italy and Iceland, won the crowd vote in the "Photographic Hot Spots" challenge on GuruShots, a competition which was entered by over 9,000 photographers.
March 2019 - Squares and Rectangles - winner of the crowd vote
My picture of the courtyard at a Vienna hotel won the crowd vote and was also commended by the judge in this contest on Photocrowd.
March 2019 - Amsterdam - winner of the crowd vote
My picture of the city at night won the crowd vote in the Amsterdam contest on Photocrowd.
November 2018 - "Animals and Snow" challenge - Guru's Top Pick Winner
My picture of a golden eagle with a fox carcass, taken in Utajärvi, Finland, was chosen by the judge (or "Guru") as his top pick in the "Animals and Snow" challenge on Gurushots.
November 2018 - "Give it your best shot" challenge - Top Photographer
My four pictures, from Norway and Iceland, won the crowd vote in the "Give it your best shot" challenge on GuruShots, a competition which was entered by over 82,000 photographers.
November 2018 - "Fascinates Ceilings" challenge - Guru's Top Pick winner
My picture of the ceiling of St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh was selected by the challenge judge (or "guru") as his top photo  in the "Fascinates Ceilings" challenge on GuruShots.
November 2018 - "Staircases" - Winner of the Crowd Vote
My picture of the lightbulb staircase in Prague won the crowd vote in this competition on Photocrowd.
October 2018 - "Churches" - winner of the crowd vote

November 2017 - Sterling Landscapes challenge - Guru's Top Pick 
My picture from Hamnøy in Lofoten, Norway was selected by the challenge judge (or "guru") as his top photo  from over 95,000 entries in the "Sterling Landscapes" challenge on GuruShots.
March 2017 - Sweeping Landscapes challenge - Top Photographer 
My four pictures from Lofoten won the crowd vote among 8212 participants and I placed as Top Photographer in the "Sweeping Landscapes" challenge on GuruShots.

One of my pictures was among 100 to be featured in this book . The 100 pictures were selected from over 45,000 entries into the Big Nature challenge on GuruShots in June 2017.
