Shooting and editing a timelapse
Recently I have started to shoot more timelapses, a technique where you capture hundreds of still images of the same scene and then use the images as individual frames in a video, leading to the compression of time - showing many minutes or hours of action in a few seconds.
I recorded some instructions and thoughts about how to shoot and edit a timelapse in an easy way, using Lightroom and Photoshop for the processing. There are more fancy and advanced ways to do timelapses, but this gives an easy way to get started.
I hope this is useful!

Part 1 - Shooting a timelapse in the field
Join me in the rain on location in Bavaria as I shoot the frames for a timelapse of Neuschwanstein castle and explain a little about what I am doing and why.
Part 2 - Processing the timelapse
Back in Finland I show a quick and easy way to edit and export a timelapse using Lightroom and Photoshop.
Part 3 - The final timelapse
The final output of this exercise can be seen below
Final thoughts
Shooting timelapses is a good addition to other photographic activities as it gives you additional options for how to react to the conditions you might find in the field. I hope that someone watches this and is encouraged to go out and give it a try.
I hope that this has been useful or interesting for some people. Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments.
